Winter Reading Challenge
For Kids and Teens
The winter season is approaching! Whether you’re looking to learn about new places to visit, tips on improving yourself for the new year, curling up with a cozy read, or transporting to a whole new world, what better place to find the best books than with the Southern Oklahoma Library System! This winter, join us for our reading challenge! Kids and teens will need to read 250 minutes to participate. Call for more information.
Strength and Balance Class
For Ages 18 and Up
Ready to embrace a healthier you? Beginning February 3rd, join us for a class on Strength and Balance for adults at Champion Public Library. This 4-week course will be instructed by Susan Cowlbeck at 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until February 26th. All exercises will be standing or in a chair, no floorwork required. All equipment is provided, but wearing comfortable athletic clothes and shoes is recommended. Call to sign up.

Join us for an online lecture at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 26th to learn about the iconic career of Georgia O’Keeffe with Art Historian Matthew Palczynski. Age Well: A Dementia Primer
For Adults and Seniors
Join Champion Public Library for a special lecture at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 5th to learn about what causes dementia, how it is found, and how it typically develops. Dementia is a general term for a group of conditions that affect thinking, memory, mood, and behavior, most often caused by Alzheimer’s disease leb by author and psychologist Beverly Thorn, Ph.D. This event is free and open to adults and seniors; however, signing up is encouraged. 3D Printing for Kids
For Ages 8 to 17
Join Champion Public Library at 10:30 PM on Saturday, February 7th, for a 3D printing class designed for children. Participants will discover the various uses of 3D printers and witness our 3D printers in action. Each attendee will receive step-by-step instructions on how to print and will be allowed to print one object of their choice that can be picked up later. Call to sign up.

Small Steps for Big Health Benefits Lecture

Celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the popular video game with Champion Public Library! Join us for three rounds of Pokémon-Themed Bingo at 3:30 PM on Friday, February 27th and win a variety of cool prizes. Reserve your spot early as space and materials are limited.
Teen Anime & Manga Book Club
For Ages 13 - 17
Sports lovers unite at Champion Public Library’s next Teen Anime & Manga Book Club at 5:30 PM on Thursday, February 26! This month, we will discuss “Blue Box, Vol. 1” by Kouji Miura. After our discussion, teens aged 13 – 17 will have a chance to play a round of Anime Character Bingo along with snacks provided by the library. Call to sign up.
With SOLS
This spring, the Southern Oklahoma Library System is thrilled to announce our participation in Neighborhood Forest's 17th Annual Free Tree Program as part of our Earth Week celebrations from April 19 - 25! Scan the QR code and fill out the online registration form by March 15th. Tree saplings will be delivered to your SOLS branch and will be arranged to get the tree sapling in the hands of your children on or around Earth Day (April 22nd) to pick up. Wiggle Worms Storytime
For Ages 4 and Younger
Looking for the perfect activity for your young child? Join Champion Public Library at 10:00 AM on Fridays for a “Wiggle Worms” Storytime for children ages 4 years and younger. Children will take part in arts and crafts, music, and energetic activities. A book will be chosen each week to be featured and read. This event happens on Fridays until May 1st, 2026.
Technology Help with a Digital Navigator
For All Ages
Does jumping into new technology seem like a daunting task? Want to know if you qualify for Department of Human Resources (DHS) assistance? Get a little help from a Digital Navigator! The Champion Public Library will be offering personal help with technology every Tuesday from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Call to sign up.

D&D Game Night
For Ages 7 - 17
Are you interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) but don't know where to start? Join us for Champion Public Library's D&D Game Night every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Great for beginners or regular players of D&D.
Library Passport
For Ages 8 - 13
Is your child ready to read on their own but is unsure where to start? Start your journey with Champion Public Library’s Passport Program for a guided and incentivized reading adventure. Children are welcome to sign up and read a variety of popular series. Library Passport booklets can be obtained at the library from library staff. Once a child returns a read book, they will be asked a trivia question over the book and receive a stamp on their passport. For each page of the passport a child completes they will receive a small prize and a certificate. A large prize will be given once they complete 5 or more pages.
