Winter Reading Challenge

For Kids, Teens & Adults
From December 1st to January 31st, Healdton Community will host a reading challenge for children, teens, and adults using the Reader Zone app. Participants in each age group will log their reading minutes through the app, and upon reaching their goal, they will be entered to win exciting prizes. The winners will be drawn at the end of January.
Drive Through Santa 2024 HCL

Drive Through Santa Event

For All Ages
Visit Healdton Community Library for our annual Drive Through Santa Event! Santa and Mrs. Claus will appear at Healdton Community Library on Thursday, December 19th from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. Guests will receive a holiday treat and have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Remember to bring your camera!
GED Classes HCL 2024 Updated

GED Classes

For Ages 16 and Up
GED classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 – 5:30 PM with the New Dimension Literacy Council. This program offers free tutoring and education services, including GED Instruction and pre-GED tests for those 16 and up. Call for more information.

For Ages 4 and Younger
Join Healdton Community Library for Storytime at 9:00 AM. Children 4 and under, along with their parents or caretakers, will be read a story and participate in activities with music and movement. This program happens on Wednesdays until May 2024.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books before Kindergarten

It's easy! One day, one book.
It's easy! One day, one book. Help your child get ready. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten. Sign up your baby, toddler, or preschooler and get rewards. Children get prizes for every 100 books they read. When they read 1,000 books - get a T-shirt!
