Winter Reading Challenge
For Kids and Teens
The winter season is approaching! Whether you’re looking to learn about new places to visit, tips on improving yourself for the new year, curling up with a cozy read, or transporting to a whole new world, what better place to find the best books than with the Southern Oklahoma Library System! This winter, join us for our reading challenge! Kids and teens will need to read 250 minutes to participate. Call for more information.
Drive Through Santa Event
For All Ages
Visit Johnston County Library at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 18th for the Southern Oklahoma Library System’s (SOLS) annual Drive Through Holiday Event with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Guests will receive a holiday treat and have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Remember to bring your camera!
Peer-Led Art Therapy
For Ages 18 and Up
Join us at the Johnston County Library at 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 18th, for a peer-led art therapy class led by Christina Tabor. No prior art experience is needed. Just a willingness to show up and take time for yourself. Sign up now to secure your spot!
Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Engage in a book discussion with the Johnston County Library at 6:30 PM on Thursday, January 8th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. Participants will share views on “Death of a Prankster” by M.C. Beaton. Refreshments this month will be provided by the Johnston County Friends of the Library.
