Join the Champion Public Library and OETA for a special family and community learning event series! This series will feature four engaging programs related to the PBS KIDS TV series “Cat in the Hat Knows Alot About That!” These events will be on Mondays at 5:30 PM on April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. The library will provide meals for each program. Each program will last about 2 hours. Families are encouraged to sign up.
The “Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!” fosters learning science inquiry and the engineering and design process through hands-on and digital play. Additionally, “The Cat in the Hat Builds That!” app is a free, bilingual (Spanish/English) mobile app designed to help parents and other caregivers of 3 to 5-year-olds actively engage with children to build science inquiry skills. The app includes engaging games and a “grown-ups” section that provides families and other caregivers with tips for playing games with their kids.
