Soccer Workshop – Parker Memorial Library

Join Parker Memorial Library for a soccer workshop with the Sulphur Kids Association where children will learn basic drills, develop fundamentals, and try a friendly scrimmage. Branch manager Jennifer Lindsey will lead the workshop. Lindsey has played soccer through Elementary through High School as well as in the Collegiate Intramural League. This workshop will be held at the Sulphur Soccer Complex, W 16th Street and Oklahoma Ave. in Sulphur. Participants will need to bring their own water. Registration is encouraged.

Soccer Workshop Dates:

Preschool – Kindergarten: Tuesday, May 7th at 6:00 PM

1st and 2nd Grade: Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 PM

3rd Grade and Up: Tuesday, May 14th at 6:00 PM

Sulphur Kids Association (SKA) is a charitable corporation in Sulphur Oklahoma that was created to serve the kids of Sulphur in maintaining, sponsoring, and supervising the kid’s sports programs in the community. Membership in the corporation shall be open to any living person who has minor children below the age of thirteen (13) years old and participate in any sport or activity sponsored or supervised by the Sulphur Kids Association.

Parker Memorial Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

This program is part of the Summer Reading Program (SRP) and is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
