Directions

To get to the Atoka County Library, on Hwy 69/75 turn east one block north of the stop light at Court Street. Continue East 1-1/2 blocks. The library is located on the north side in the middle of the block.

Storytime with Ms. Walker ACL 2025

Storytime

For Ages 0 - 10
Looking for a fun activity to participate in with your child? Join Atoka County Library starting Saturday, February 22nd for Storytime with Ms. Walker. This program will occur monthly every third Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Ms. Walker will read from a book for children. Families are welcome to join in the fun.
Mental Health First Aid ACL Flyer 2025

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing will be holding an in-person training for Mental Health First Aid at Atoka County Library on Friday, February 28, from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Teen Cuisine Cooking Classes

For Teens in Grades 6 - 12
Join the Atoka County Library for the "Teen Cuisine" cooking program, hosted by Madison Sam of the OSU extension. The program will take place on Fridays at 1:00 PM, starting March 7. This hour-long program will consist of six lessons, each designed to teach young participants essential skills such as nutrition, food preparation, food safety, cooking, and physical activity. Teens will learn how to prepare meals and snacks and develop healthy eating habits. Call to sign up.

For Ages 8 - 16
Racers, prepare your engines for Atoka County Library’s gaming tournament on Saturday, March 22nd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This gaming tournament will be based on a popular racing video game featuring a famous plumbing duo on the Nintendo Switch. Players can choose a Nintendo character as their racer and compete with others to get to the finish line first. The tournament will have two age groups to sign up: ages 8 – 12 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and ages 13 – 16 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A champion will be named from each group, and they will compete against each other from 3:00 – 4:00 PM to be crowned grand champion. Prizes will be given out to the champions and the grand champion. Registration is required.

Attention young artists and comic enthusiasts! Join us at the Atoka County Library on Thursdays at 4:30 PM to learn how to draw comics, characters, and graphic design from local artist Robert Bevan, starting February 20th. These classes will be structured as 6-week courses, with the final week featuring an art showcase event displaying the attendees' work. Call to sign up.

Friends of Atoka County Library
The Friends of the Atoka County Library will have a book sale on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Sunday, April 6th from 12:00 – 3:00 PM and have books for all ages. Can’t make it? We've got you covered! The book sale will continue Monday, April 7th – Thursday, April 10th during library hours. Donations in good condition are welcomed.

Looking for an exercise that improves strength, balance, and helps reduce stress? The Atoka County Library is offering Tai Chi classes for adults and seniors. With Michael Maxwell of the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, classes will be offered every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 PM starting January 14th and will go through February 25th.
