The Davis Public Library will be closed on Saturday, September 19, for professional development. The library will resume normal hours on Monday, September 21.
Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join others at the Davis Public Library for a monthly book club at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 22nd. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “Too Old for This” by Samantha Downing will be discussed.
Weeklong Book Sale
For All Ages
Get your bookshelf ready for autumn! The Friends of Libraries in Murray County invite you to a week-long book sale at the Davis Public Library, happening during regular business hours from Monday, October 5th through Saturday, October 10th. With a minimum donation of just $5, you can fill a bag with as many books as you can carry. Readers of all ages are welcome. Don’t miss this chance to discover your next great read while supporting your local library!
Joe Brown Author Visit
For Ages 18 and Up
The Davis Public Library is excited to host acclaimed Western author Joe Brown for an engaging evening of stories and conversation on October 13th at 5:30 PM. Readers ages 18 and up are invited to this special event, where Brown will share captivating tales from his celebrated Kelly Can Saga, discuss the historical influences and inspirations behind the series, and chat with fans about protagonist Charlie Kelly’s adventures across the ever-changing American West. Free and open to the public.

1,000 Books before Kindergarten
For Ages 4 and Younger
It's easy! One day, one book. Help your child get ready. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten. Sign up your baby, toddler, or preschooler, and get rewards.
Tai Chi Classes
For Ages 18 and Up
Looking for an exercise that improves strength, balance, and helps reduce stress? The Davis Public Library is continuing to offer Tai Chi for adults and seniors. Classes are offered each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 AM starting March 10. Call to sign up.
Game Night
For Ages 13 and Up
Game night is the perfect way to bring the thrill of an all-out magical battle to your friends and family all in one convenient box. Fans of Magic the Gathering are invited to the Davis Public Library every Thursday at 6:00 PM to participate in this popular competition. In addition to this popular card game, the library will also have board games available for everyone to play.
