Winter Reading Challenge
For Kids and Teens
The winter season is approaching! Whether you’re looking to learn about new places to visit, tips on improving yourself for the new year, curling up with a cozy read, or transporting to a whole new world, what better place to find the best books than with the Southern Oklahoma Library System! This winter, join us for our reading challenge! Kids and teens will need to read 250 minutes to participate. Call for more information.
Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus
For All Ages
Join us for a special event at the Parker Memorial Library! At 2:00 PM on Monday, December 22nd, the library will be holding a special Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus for children of all ages. Afterwards, family and friends can come capture magical moments with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This Storytime event is free and open to the public.
After-School STEM Craft
Fun with Snow
Time to have fun with snow at Parker Memorial Library! Join us after school on Wednesday, January 7th, for a STEM craft day all about snow. Children, tweens, and teens are invited to come build edible snowflakes, learn how to make fake snow, and more. All materials and snacks will be provided by the library. Call to sign up.
Toddler Time
For Ages 3 Years and Younger
Looking for the perfect activity for your young child? Beginning at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 2nd, Parker Memorial Library will be hosting Toddler for children ages 3 and younger. Children and their families will sing songs, listen to a story and do a fun craft. Older siblings are welcome to join in the fun! This activity will continue weekly until Tuesday, December 16.
