Summer Reading Programming continues at Parker Memorial Library this June! Featuring the theme “Color Our World” the annual SRP will host the following performers every Thursday in June at 11:00 AM. These events are free and open to the public.

Friendship Bracelet Class
For Ages 6 - 11
Get ready for a summer of creativity at Parker Memorial Library! Join us on Saturday, June 21st at 1:30 PM for a crafty friendship bracelet class designed for children ages 6 - 11. Dive into fun and learn two simple techniques to craft your very own friendship bracelets, perfect for trading with a friend. Cal to sign up.

Between Bites Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join Parker Memorial Library on Wednesday, July 9th at 12:00 PM for the continuation of Between Bites Book Club. This club is a laid-back lunch-hour book club where good stories and great conversations come together for adults. This month's book selection is “Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers” by Jesse Q. Sutanto. Bring your own lunch and let’s chat while we chew! Call to sign up.

Candy Sushi Class
For Kids of All Ages
Is it sushi? Or is it candy? Discover a new twist on sushi at Parker Memorial Library on Saturday, July 12th at 2:00 PM. Children of all ages will make Japanese-style sushi using rice crispies treats and other candies. All materials will be provided by the library. Call to sign up.

Magic Ice Cream Class
For Kids and Teens
Stay cool this summer with a sweet treat with Parker Memorial Library! Join us on Thursday, July 17th, at 10:00 AM at the Murray County Expo Center Kitchen (3490 State Hwy 7, Sulphur, OK) for a fun program where children and teens will learn to make delicious and nutritious magic ice cream. The session will be led by Debbie Sharp from the OSU Extension Office. All materials will be provided by the library. Call to sign up.

Canning Salsa Class
For Ages 14 and Up
Capture the freshness of summer garden veggies at Parker Memorial Library! Join us on Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 PM at the Murray County Expo Center Kitchen (3490 State Hwy 7, Sulphur, OK) where attendees will learn to make and safely can delicious homemade salsa with instructor Debbie Sharp from the OSU Extension Office. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned canner looking to turn up the heat, this class is packed with flavor and fun! Call to sign up.

Tai Chi Class
For Seniors
Looking for an exercise that improves strength, balance, and helps reduce stress? Join us at Parker Memorial Library for Tai Chi classes with Nikki Smith of Big Five Community Services. Classes are offered every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 PM starting Tuesday, August 5th, and will go through Thursday, September 25th. This class is designed for seniors ages 60 and up. Summer Yoga Class
For Teens and Adults
Do you want to give yoga a try but don’t know where to start? Join Parker Memorial Library for a summer yoga course led by instructor Angela Deen. Teens and adults will learn about basic postures and breathing techniques that help enhance flexibility, balance, and well-being. This yoga class will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 AM beginning June 9th – July 23rd. Call to sign up.
