Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday
For All Ages
Join in the patriotic fun at Parker Memorial Library! Celebrate America's 250th Birthday Party from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3rd. Join us for USA-themed crafts, cupcakes, and cookie decorating while supplies last. Interested participants of all ages are welcome to attend at any time during the party. Call for more details.
Watermelon Coaster Craft Class
For Ages 18 and Up
Join Parker Memorial Library at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 9th, for a creative and fun-filled evening making watermelon-themed coasters. Participants ages 18 and up will learn how to transform simple cork coasters into vibrant, summer-inspired home décor using just a bit of paint. All materials needed for the craft will be provided by the library, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable experience for everyone. Call to sign up.
Survive the Oregon Trail
For Ages 6 to 11
Parker Memorial Library is excited to announce an adventurous and educational program for children: “Survive the Oregon Trail.” Join us at the library at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15th for a thrilling journey back in time! Participants will get a chance to experience the challenges and excitement of the historic Oregon Trail by playing the classic survival game. Children will work together, make tough decisions, and learn about the real-life journeys of pioneers as they strive to reach their destination. Call for more details.
Technology Help For Seniors
At Sulphur Senior Nutrition Center
Parker Memorial Library is excited to announce an upcoming event designed to help local seniors navigate technology with confidence. On Thursday, July 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, library staff will be available at the Sulphur Senior Nutrition Center, located at 401 E. Oklahoma Ave in Sulphur, to answer basic technology questions and assist with devices. Free and open to the public.
Booked on a Thursday Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join others at the Parker Memorial Library for Booked on a Thursday Book Club at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 23rd. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt will be discussed. Pirate & Princess Party
For Ages 0 to 11
Soar and sail into a royal adventure! Join Parker Memorial Library for Pirate & Princess Party from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 8th. Young swashbucklers and ladies, ages 0 to 11, will be welcome to enjoy snacks, games, goodies & crafts. Costumes are encouraged but not required to attend the event. Call to sign up.
