Join others at the Davis Public Library for a monthly book club at 5:30 PM on
Tuesday, March 24th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt will be discussed.
After her husband’s death and her son’s mysterious disappearance decades earlier, Tova Sullivan finds solace working nights at the Sowell Bay Aquarium. There, she befriends Marcellus, a clever giant Pacific octopus. As their bond grows, Marcellus uncovers clues about Tova’s missing son and uses his wits to help her face the truth. Shelby Van Pelt’s debut novel explores healing, friendship, and how understanding the past can open new doors to the future.
Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Davis Public Library at 209 East Benton in Davis or call (580) 369-2468. The Davis Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
