Chalk-The-Lot Contest – Champion Public Library

Hey there! Are you a fan of creating art with chalk? Whether you’re a casual doodler or a serious sidewalk artist, we’d be thrilled to have you join us at Champion Public Library’s Chalk-The-Lot contest on Friday, October 18th from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. It’s a free event, and anyone aged 7 and above can participate in three different age groups for a chance to win 1st place or runner-up. Judging by local artists will be held between 3:00 – 5:00 PM, and we’ll announce three winners, one for each age group. Don’t worry about materials – the library will provide everything you need. Just make sure to sign up before Thursday, October 17th at 5:00 PM. Can’t wait to see your creativity shine!

Each age group will have themes:
Ages 7-11: Eric Carle Esque
Ages 12-15: Comic Book/Pop Art
Ages 16 and Up: Inspired by Classics

Once registered, each participant will have a space assigned to them on the contest day. Participants can work on assigned area during the allotted time and will need to read and agree to the Artist Disclaimer & Waiver beforehand. Prizes will be given out to 1st place winners and paper certificates to runners-up. 1st place prizes donated by the Sunday Art Group.

This event will be open to the public for viewing throughout the day. There will be designated walkways for viewing.
