Introduction to Hand Embroidery – Wilson Public Library

Get your needle and thread ready and learn some fun and creative stitches for making beautiful art by hand at Wilson Public Library! Join us on Monday, September 16th at 4:00 PM for an introduction to hand embroidery. Attendees ages 14 and up will learn the basics of hand embroidery and beginning stitches. Each attendee will receive a beginning pattern as well. Call to sign up.

What is hand embroidery? Hand embroidery is the art of decorative stitching on fabric with needle and thread. There are many types of floss, yarn, and fibers to stitch with, as well as a variety of stitches to use. This adds a decorative component to quilts, clothing, and accessories.
