Family History 101: Genealogy Class
For Ages 18 and Up
Healdton Community Library is excited to announce “Family History 101: Starting Your Genealogy Journey,” a special class designed to help with exploring family trees. The program will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7th at the library. Participants are encouraged to bring a personal laptop or tablet, but several laptops will be available if needed. Call to sign up.
Play Dough Monsters Craft Class
For Ages 0 - 11
Join Healdton Community Library for a fun, hands-on, and imaginative craft for children with play-dough monsters at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13th. This fun-filled craft encourages children to express themselves through creative play while socializing with peers in a supportive environment. All materials will be provided, and young artists can take their unique monster creations home at the end of the day. Call to sign up.
3D Printed Sugar Skull Craft Class
For Ages 12 to 18
Join Healdton Community Library at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14th for a 3D-printed sugar skull craft. Teens ages 12 through 18 will be welcome to paint their own 3D-printed sugar skull. All supplies will be provided by the library, ensuring a fun and stress-free experience for everyone. Call to sign up.
Air-Dry Clay Diffuser Stone Class
For Ages 18 and Up
Join us as Healdton Community Library hosts a hands-on craft class at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20th, on how to make air-dry clay diffuser stones scented with essential oils. Attendees will shape their own decorative pieces and press botanical designs into the clay. Once the stones dry, they can be scented with essential oils and used as a natural alternative to a plug-in diffuser. Call to sign up.
Popup Closet Event
For All Ages
Join Healdton Community Library and Community Youth Services for a special Pop-Up Closet Event from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 22nd. Everyone is welcome to stop by and pick up free resources for families and individuals in need. CYS will be distributing emergency groceries, coats, shoes, clothing, and more. Book Club

Join others at the Healdton Community Library for a monthly book club on Monday, October 26th at 5:30 PM. Conversation and fellowship will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month's book selection is “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt. Call to sign up.
Monthly Chess Club

The Healdton Community Library is excited to announce the launch of its new monthly Chess Club, open to chess enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. The club will meet from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the second Saturday of each month, starting Saturday, September 12th. Call for more information.
After School Teen Hangout
For Teens
Healdton Community Library is thrilled to invite local teens to a weekly After School Hangout @ The Library for Teens! This hangout will be held every Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:30 PM starting August 19th. Teens are encouraged to drop in, play games, watch a movie, catch up on homework or socialize with friends in a relaxed, come-and-go atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to unwind after school or meet new people, the Healdton Community Library Teen Hangout is the place to be and have fun! Call for more information.

It's easy! One day, one book. Help your child get ready. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten. Sign up your baby, toddler, or preschooler, and get rewards.
