Fresh Start: Nutrition & You – Wilson Public Library

The Wilson Public Library and the Carter County OSU Extension have teamed up to bring Fresh Start: Nutrition & You, an 8-week nutrition education course to the Carter County area. Starting on Monday, September 9th from 1:30 – 2:30 PM with instructor Whittiny Barber, Nutrition Education Assistant with the Carter County OSU Extension, attendees 18 and up will learn about the Fresh Start nutrition course.

The Fresh Start program is hands-on and teaches new skills that participants can use at home every day – from planning, shopping, and cooking tips to simple solutions for healthy eating and daily physical activity. Graduates of the program receive a cookbook and a signed graduation certificate. Seating is limited, so call to sign up for the class.

Wilson Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
