Do your children like making snacks in the kitchen? Want to inspire them to prepare and eat nutritious snacks? Join Atoka County Library every Friday from January 3rd through February 14th, with Madison Sam of the OSU extension who will present “Kik It Up: Encouraging Children to jump into the Kitchen”. Participants ages 6 – 12 will learn about exercise and how to cook healthy snacks. This 45-minute program encompasses 7 lessons. Children ages 6 – 9 will be from 12:00 – 1:00 PM and ages 10 – 12 will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Since space is limited, we encourage everyone to sign up in advance.
Atoka County Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
