Matter of Balance Class
For Ages 18 and Up
Ready to embrace a healthier you? Beginning October 28th, join us for a class “Matter of Balance” for adults at Love County Library. This 4-week course will be from 2:00 - 3:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until November 20th with Big 5 Community Action. All equipment is provided but wearing comfortable athletic clothes and shoes is recommended. Attendees are encouraged to call ahead and sign up.
Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join others at the Love County Library for a monthly book club at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month's book selection is “Starter Villain” by John Scalzi. Call to sign up.
DIY Laundry Soap
For Ages 18 and Up
Want to save money and get cleaner laundry? Join Love County Library at 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 6th, to learn how to make your own laundry soap that’s more cost-effective and easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. Led by Andrea Snow with the OSU Extension Office, this class is designed for adult attendees. Sign-ups are encouraged.
Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join others at the Love County Library for a monthly book club at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month's book selection is “Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping (on a Dead Man)” by Jesse Q. Sutanto. Call to sign up.
Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus
For Kids of All Ages
Join us for a special event at the Love County Library! At 2:00 PM on Monday, December 1st, the library will be holding a special Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus for children of all ages. After Storytime, attendees can also participate in making their own snowflake and/or holiday wreath out of pipe cleaners. This event is free and up to the public.
Medicare Seminar
For Seniors
Join us at the Love County Library for an educational class at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2nd, with Anishalin Helms, Medicare Specialist. This class is designed to be informative and easy to understand. Seniors will learn all about the different parts of Medicare, how to enroll, and what benefits are available to them. Whether you're new to Medicare or have been enrolled for years, this is a great way to get the info you need. Call for more information.
ESL at the Library
For Ages 18 and Up
The Love County Library will host "ESL at the Library" with Carlos Carrasco on Fridays at 5:30 PM. These English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are designed for adult attendees, providing an opportunity to learn or enhance their English language skills. Signing up is encouraged.
Coffee & Crochet
For All Ages
Looking for some new ideas on crocheting or just want a space to relax and crochet? At 3:00 PM on Thursdays, the Love County Library will be hosting a “Coffee & Crochet” weekly program with Andrea Snow with the OSU Extension Office. Attendees of all ages can enjoy some coffee and crocheting with others while sharing project ideas and learning something new. Call to sign up.
Dungeons & Dragons Afterschool
For Ages 18 and Younger
Are you interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons but don't know where to start? Look no further than the Love County Library's Dungeons and Dragons After School at 4:00 PM on Wednesdays starting October 22nd – December 10th. All skill levels welcome, including beginners. All supplies will be provided by the library; however, attendees can bring their own materials. This after-school program is geared to kids and teens, and sign-up is encouraged.
3D Printing Class
For All Ages
Ever wondered how 3D printing works? Want to see it in action? Come learn the basics of 3D printing with the library’s new 3D printer at the Love County Library. The library will host a 3D printing class every third Saturday of each month. This program is for all ages, but registration is required.
