Strength and Balance Class
For Seniors
Get ready to move, groove, and boost your physical well-being! Starting Tuesday, July 7th, the Love County Library will host Strength and Balance for Seniors—an energizing class designed to help you stay active and independent. Join Susan Cowlbeck, certified YMCA Fitness Instructor, for fun and supportive sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 PM, from July 7th through August 27th. Call to sign up.
“Build Your Own Dino” Kit Card Class
For All Ages
Join the Love County Library for an innovative program for dinosaur enthusiasts and curious young minds! At 3:00 PM on Friday, July 10th, the library will host a “Build Your Own Dino” Kit Card class designed for children. Participants in this hands-on class will receive a 3D printed dinosaur kit. Children will have the opportunity to assemble their very own dinosaur model that engages their creativity through interactive play. Call to sign up.
Patriotic Storytime & Craft
At Shellenberger Park
The Love County Library invites children and families to join a special Storytime event in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary. The celebration will take place at Shellenberger Park at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 17th.
This festive Storytime will feature a reading of the engaging book, “On the Fourth of July” by Maggie C. Rudd. Attendees can look forward to enjoying refreshing popsicles and participating in a patriotic coloring puzzle craft, perfect for all ages. Call for more details.
Chickens and Dinosaurs
For Ages 10 to 18
The Love County Library is excited to announce a unique and educational event for children and families this summer. For three weeks, the library will be incubating live chicks onsite, providing a rare opportunity for visitors to witness the hatching process up close. Call to sign up.
Paint A Dinosaur
For Ages 10 to 18
Technology, creativity, and prehistoric reptiles collide at Love County Library! Join us for Paint a Dinosaur at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 24th. Children ages 10 through 18 will learn about how the 3D printer works and then paint a 3D printed dinosaur of their choice. Call to sign up.
Book Club
For Ages 18 and Up
Join others at the Love County Library for their book club at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28th. Conversation and fellowship will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife” by Anna Johnson, will be discussed. Call for more information.
Diamond Art Coasters Craft
For Ages 18 and Up
Love County Library is excited to invite adults ages 18 and up to a special diamond art coasters craft class at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 1st. This hands-on crafting session will give participants the opportunity to create beautiful, sparkling coasters using the popular diamond art technique. Call to sign up.
Free Summer Meals Program
For Kids and Teens
The Love County Library and the Love County OSU Extension office invite children and teens of all ages to come and pick up a free box of healthy meals at the library. This program will be held bi-weekly on Mondays on June 1, 15, 29, July 13, and 27 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Each box contains 10 shelf-stable breakfasts and lunches. No cost, no sign-up, just show up! Chair Yoga
For Seniors
Looking for a gentle way to support your heart, mind, and joints? The Love County Library invites seniors to join our chair yoga series, led by instructor Hannah Benson. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 PM, from May 5th through June 30th. All equipment is provided—just wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Call to sign up.
1,000 Books before Kindergarten
For Ages 4 and Younger
It's easy! One day, one book. Help your child get ready. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten. Sign up your baby, toddler, or preschooler, and get rewards.
3D Printing Class
For All Ages
Ever wondered how 3D printing works? Want to see it in action? Come learn the basics of 3D printing with the library’s new 3D printer at the Love County Library. The library will host a 3D printing class every third Saturday of each month. This program is for all ages, but registration is required.
Coffee & Crafting
For All Ages
Looking for some new crocheting ideas or just a space to relax and craft? Join the Love County Library every Thursday at 3:00 PM for their “Coffee & Crafting” weekly program with Andrea Snow with the OSU Extension Office. Attendees of all ages can enjoy some coffee and craft with others while sharing project ideas and learning something new. Call to sign up.
