Age Well: NOURISH Lecture – Champion Public Library

Do you feel overwhelmed with dieting? Join Champion Public Library for a special event at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 29th to discover NOURISH Step – a fun, practical mindset to boost energy, health and well-being with Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Pam VanKampen, RDN, CD. Attendees, ages 18 and up, will learn how to shift their focus from restrictions to nourishing foods and simple habits that work in real life. Plus, learn the power of protein, hydration and colorful meals to strengthen your body, improve mood and support independence. This event is free and open to adults and seniors; however, signing up is encourage. This Zoom lecture event is sponsored by Roads Scholars.

Pam VanKampen, RDN, CD, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with 38 years of experience and part of the Nutrition Team at the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources (GWAAR). VanKampen holds a B.S. in dietetics from Illinois State University and completed her dietetic internship at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. VanKampen previously worked as a clinical and renal dietitian, dietary manager, and nutrition support specialist. Since 1996, VanKampen has focused on promoting health and nutrition for older adults across Wisconsin.

This lecture is part of our “Age Well” series, designed to provide valuable insights, expert guidance, and practical tools for navigating the aging journey with confidence. These programs explore key topics related to aging, from health and wellness to planning for the future, offering meaningful perspectives and resources for older adults and caregivers alike. This online lecture will take place live over the course of 1-2 hours.

Champion Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
