Get ready for an amazing time at Wilson Public Library as we continue our thrilling “Page to Screen” book club series! This month, patrons ages 18 and up are invited to dive into the captivating world of “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr throughout October. Then, mark your calendars for Thursday, November 7th at 6:00 PM, when we’ll come together to discuss the book. But that’s not all – on Thursday, November 14th, November 21st, December 5th, and December 12th at 6:00 PM, you’ll have the chance to watch the show that goes hand in hand with the book. It’s going to be an absolute blast!
Marie-Laure lives in Paris with her father who works at the Museum of Natural History. She goes blind at six, and her father creates a miniature model of their neighborhood to help her navigate. When the Nazis occupy Paris, they flee to Saint-Malo, carrying a valuable jewel. In Germany, orphan Werner becomes skilled at building radios and joins the Hitler Youth. His story intertwines with Marie-Laure’s in Saint-Malo.
Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Wilson Public Library at 1087 US Hwy. 70A in Wilson or call (580) 668-2486. The Wilson Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System. The Southern Oklahoma Library System was named Oklahoma Library of the Year in 2024!
