Join others at the Love County Library for their book club at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25th. Conversation and fellowship will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “Anxious People” by Fredrik Backman will be discussed.
An apartment open house turns into a hostage crisis when a failed bank robber bursts in, trapping a group of strangers whose personal struggles, secrets, and unresolved conflicts quickly come to the surface. Among the hostages are a retired couple with a failing marriage, a self-absorbed bank director, an expectant couple divided over their future, an unflappable elderly woman, a determined real estate agent, and a mysterious man hiding in the bathroom. As police and the media close in, the unlikely group discovers that none of them—including the bank robber—is exactly who they seem to be, and that each is searching for forgiveness, connection, or a chance at redemption, leading to a series of unexpected revelations and life-changing events.
