Join friends at the Davis Public Library for their book club at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 28th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “The Wedding People” by Alison Espach, will be discussed.
Phoebe Stone arrives alone at the elegant Cornwall Inn in Newport, Rhode Island, dressed for a celebration but seeking solace after hitting rock bottom. While the other guests are there for a wedding, Phoebe treats herself to a final indulgent getaway. Unexpectedly, she forms a connection with the meticulous bride, leading to a weekend of surprising confessions and self-discovery. Both funny and moving, Alison Espach’s “The Wedding People” explores how chance encounters can change our lives in ways we never expected.
The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Davis Public Library at (580) 369-2468. You can visit the library at 209 East Benton in Davis. The Davis Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
