STEAM Classes for Intermediate-Aged Children – Champion Public Library

Join Champion Public Library for 4 Summer STEAM classes designed for intermediate-aged children from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Mondays, July 6th through July 27th. Children ages 10 through 13 will experience problem-solving and scientific wonder tailored for their age group. Space is limited so calling ahead and reserving a spot is recommended.

Each class will be featured on the following dates:

July 6th: Egg Drop Challenge – participants will construct protection for an egg.
July 13th: Paper Chain Race – participants will race to create the longest paper chain.
July 20th: Cyanotype Paper – participants will make their own piece of art using the sun and a variety of objects.
July 27th: Seismograph – participants will create a working seismograph out of a cardboard box, paper, and a variety of other materials.

The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
