Book Club – Wilson Public Library

December 1, 2025

Join friends at the Wilson Public Library for a monthly book club at 5:30 PM on Thursday, December 4th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book selection is “This Tender Land” by William Kent Krueger.

In 1932 Minnesota, the Lincoln School is a harsh institution where Native American children, separated from their families, are educated. Among them is Odie O’Banion, a spirited boy who, along with his brother Albert, best friend Mose, and a heartbroken girl named Emmy, escapes in a canoe seeking freedom along the Mississippi River. Their unforgettable summer leads them to encounter various lost souls, from struggling farmers to traveling faith healers.

Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Wilson Public Library at 1087 US Hwy. 70A in Wilson or call (580) 668-2486. The Wilson Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
