Join others at the Davis Public Library for a monthly book club at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, October 27th. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book, “The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife” by Anna Johnston will be discussed.
Eighty-two-year-old Fred Fife, struggling with poverty and homelessness, is mistaken for Bernard Greer at a nursing home and seizes the chance for shelter and companionship. As he tries to keep his secret, caregiver Denise Simms—facing her own personal struggles—grows suspicious of Fred’s kindness. Their lives become entangled, leading both to confront their pasts and find purpose, forgiveness, and connection.
