Join Champion Public Library Monday, June 9th – Friday, June 13th at 12:30 PM for a weeklong “Teen Cuisine” cooking program hosted by Whittiny Barber of the OSU Extension. This program will consist of 6 lessons during the week that are designed to teach teens the importance of nutrition, food preparation, food safety, cooking skills and physical activity. “Teens Cuisine” aims to empower teens to adopt healthier lifestyles by teaching them the knowledge and skills needed to prepare nutritious snacks and meals at home. This program is designed for teens in 6th grade and up. Reservations are encouraged as space is limited.
The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
Champion Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
