Join the Atoka County Library for the “Teen Cuisine” cooking program, hosted by Madison Sam of the OSU extension. The program will take place on Fridays at 1:00 PM, from February 21 – March 28. This hour-long program will consist of six lessons, each designed to teach young participants essential skills such as nutrition, food preparation, food safety, cooking, and physical activity. Teens in 6th – 12th grade will learn how to prepare meals and snacks as well as develop healthy eating habits. Reservations are encouraged as space is limited.
Atoka County Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
