Get ready to move, groove, and boost your physical well-being! Starting Tuesday, July 7th, the Love County Library will host Strength and Balance for Seniors—an energizing class designed to help you stay active and independent.
Join Susan Cowlbeck, certified YMCA Fitness Instructor, for fun and supportive sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 PM, from July 7th through August 27th.
All exercises are performed standing or seated—no floorwork required. We provide all the equipment you’ll need but be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes. Advanced sign-up is encouraged to reserve your spot.
This class is tailored for seniors looking to enhance strength, balance, and stability. You’ll learn easy-to-follow movements that target the ankles, knees, and hips, with a focus on improving reaction time and overall mobility. Exercises use chairs, light weights, resistance bands, and even clothespins to help strengthen both large and small muscle groups. Don’t miss this chance to improve your strength and balance in a supportive, social setting!
