The winter season is approaching! Whether you’re looking to learn about new places to visit, tips on improving yourself for the new year, curling up with a cozy read, or transporting to a whole new world, what better place to find the best books than with the Southern Oklahoma Library System (SOLS)! This winter, join us for our reading challenge!
From December 1st – January 31st, SOLS will be hosting a winter reading challenge for children and teens, using the Reader Zone app. Participants in each age group will log in their reading minutes through the app, and upon reaching their goal, they will be entered to win exciting prizes. The winners will be drawn at the end of January.
Children and teens, ages 0 to 17, who read up to 250 minutes on the Reader Zone app will receive a ticket to enter a drawing for several prizes (limited to 3 tickets per participant).
Reader Zone is a web-based reading program and app designed for educators, teachers, and libraries to gather the reading data necessary to support readers’ progress and promote literacy within the community. It is free and simple to join. Download the Reader Zone app on your mobile device, create an account, enter the Reading Program Code provided by your local SOLS library branch, and begin logging your reading activity.
