Join friends at the Wilson Public Library for a monthly book club at 5:30 PM on Thursday, May 7. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on popular book titles for adults to discuss. This month’s book selection is “A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping” by Sangu Mandanna.
Once a powerful witch, Sera Swan lost most of her magic after resurrecting her great-aunt Jasmine, befriending a mischievous talking fox, and being exiled from her Guild. Now, she reluctantly helps Jasmine run an enchanted inn in Lancashire, juggling odd guests and longing for her lost future. When Sera learns of a spell that could restore her power, Luke Larsen—a reserved magical historian—arrives and unexpectedly offers to help, despite his reluctance to get involved. As they work together, both Sera and Luke find themselves drawn into the inn’s chaos and each other’s lives. Managing the inn, seeking her magic, and evading the Guild is a challenge, but Sera soon realizes that the strange, loving family she’s built may be her greatest magic of all.
Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Wilson Public Library at 1087 US Hwy. 70A in Wilson or call (580) 668-2486. The Wilson Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
