Ages Well: Sleep & Healthy Aging – Champion Public Library

Dr. Zsófia Zavecz is a neuroscientist specializing in memory and sleep. Dr. Zavecz’s research investigates how sleep supports memory and helps protect against cognitive decline, including the context of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Zavecz earned her Ph.D. in Hungary and held postdoctoral positions at UC Berkeley and the University of Cambridge before becoming an assistant professor at the University of Surrey. Bridging fundamental and applied neuroscience, Dr. Zavecz work aims to translate research findings into practical solutions that enhance cognitive health.

This lecture is part of our “Age Well” series, designed to provide valuable insights, expert guidance, and practical tools for navigating the aging journey with confidence. These programs explore key topics related to aging, from health and wellness to planning for the future, offering meaningful perspectives and resources for older adults and caregivers alike.

Champion Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
