Age Well: Spirituality, Religion & the Aging Brain Lecture – Champion Public Library

Andrew B. Newberg, M.D. is currently the research director at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health and a professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine & Nutritional Sciences, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University & Hospital. Dr. Newberg is board certified in internal medicine and nuclear medicine, and is involved in “neurotheology,” the study of mystical and religious experiences. Dr. Newberg has published books and articles on brain function and imaging, and neurotheology.

This lecture is part of our “Age Well” series, designed to provide valuable insights, expert guidance, and practical tools for navigating the aging journey with confidence. These programs explore key topics related to aging, from health and wellness to planning for the future, offering meaningful perspectives and resources for older adults and caregivers alike.

Champion Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
