The Davis Public Library is excited to host acclaimed Western author Joe Brown for an engaging evening of stories and conversation on October 13th at 5:30 PM. Readers ages 18 and up are invited to this special event, where Brown will share captivating tales from his celebrated Kelly Can Saga, discuss the historical influences and inspirations behind the series, and chat with fans about protagonist Charlie Kelly’s adventures across the ever-changing American West.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet Brown in person, delve deeper into the world of cowboy storytelling, and connect with fellow lovers of Western literature. The event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss this chance to experience the magic of Western storytelling—cowboy hats optional!
Brown began writing memoirs and historical fiction after retirement from military and civil service careers in 2010. At that time, Brown was a Senior Analyst advising the Commander, Air Force Flight Test Center. Another passion of his is supporting and performing music. Brown served on the New Mexico State Music Commission and the Board of Directors of the International Western Music Association. He is an Oklahoma native now living in the Albuquerque, NM area.
