Stay happy and healthy at Champion Public Library! Join us at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27th for a special cardio drumming session. Led by YMCA Fitness Instructor Susan Cowlbeck, this class is designed for seniors using exercise balls and drumsticks for a fun and engaging workout. No special clothing required. Attendees can bring their own exercise ball. This demo promises to be fun and filled with information on being your healthiest you! Signing up is encouraged.
This program is in conjunction with the National Senior Health & Fitness Day. National Senior Health & Fitness Day, now in its 33rd year, has traditionally been held on the last Wednesday in May. As the nation’s largest annual older adult health and wellness event, its goals are to help keep older Americans healthy and fit, and to showcase what local organizations are doing in their communities to promote senior health and wellness.
Champion Public Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
