The Atoka County Library is excited to announce a special event to kick off the July 4th weekend. On Friday, July 3rd at 1:00 PM, children ages 6 to 11 are invited to participate in a fun and festive Patriotic Parfait Class at the library.
This hands-on class will give kids the opportunity to create delicious, red, white, and blue parfaits while learning about healthy snacks and celebrating the holiday spirit. All supplies will be provided, and children will be guided through each step of the recipe. Spaces are limited, so advanced sign-up is encouraged.
Atoka County Library is offering this program as part of a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL). The program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
For more information, call the Atoka County Library at (580) 889-3555. You can visit the library at 279 East A Street in Atoka. The Atoka County Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
