Patriotic Storytime & Craft at Park – Champion Public Library

June 17, 2026

Champion Public Library invites families and children of all ages to join us for an exciting in-person patriotic-themed story and craft event at Southern Oklahoma Library System’s (SOLS) StoryWalk® in Ardmore Regional Park. The event will take place on at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19th.

This engaging Storytime will feature the delightful book “Will Rogers and His Great Presidential Pals” by Bart Taylor, bringing to life the stories of one of Oklahoma’s most beloved figures while celebrating our nation’s heritage. Participants will also have the chance to create their own festive crafts inspired by the theme.

The event is free and open to the public, so gather your family and friends for a morning of fun, creativity, and learning in the great outdoors.

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (Grant LS-259198-OLS-25) and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.

The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.

The StoryWalk® project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
