Start the summer off with a blast from the past! Join Champion Public Library from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 16th, for a series of fantastic events kicking off our Summer Reading Program for 2026! Starting in the morning, we will host a Touch-a-Truck event, featuring a variety of vehicles, including the Fire Department, SOAS ambulances and more from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Jurassic Experience, featuring dinosaur puppetry, will follow from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Splash straight into a water day with the Fire Department Hose Down from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Participating children will be sprayed straight from a fire truck! Water game relays will take place from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. We will conclude with a Foam Machine extravaganza from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM. This summer we will feature the theme “Unearth a Story” and dive into prehistory at the library. Don’t miss out!
