Wilson
Book Club – Wilson PublicLibrary
Join Wilson Public Library for our monthly book club on Wednesday, April 30th at 5:30 PM. Conversation, fellowship, and refreshments will be centered on a popular book title for adults to discuss. This month’s book will feature Barbara Kingsolver’s “Demon Copperhead”.
Set in the southern Appalachian Mountains, “Demon Copperhead” follows a boy born to a teenage single mother in a trailer. Equipped with his father’s good looks and a fierce survival instinct, Demon navigates the harsh realities of foster care, labor, and addiction. Through his unsparing voice, he confronts his invisibility in a society that overlooks rural people.
Participants are encouraged to check out the book by visiting the Wilson Public Library at 1087 US Hwy. 70A in Wilson or call (580) 668-2486. The Wilson Public Library is a branch of the Southern Oklahoma Library System.
